Most clients open futures trading accounts with their primary goal being bottom line oriented and, although my role is multifaceted, I never take my eye off the ball when it comes to understanding what matters most to my clients. I emphasize executing a disciplined game plan that involves risk management strategies as a means to this end. Identifying imbalances in the market place and seizing upon those opportunities consumes a large portion of my day. Sharing this information with clients and formulating strategies based on their particular needs consumes the remaining balance. My passion for the markets is tireless, but at the same time I recognize the importance of being a level headed, objective strategist when it comes time to plan and execute trade decisions.

Industry Background:

I have studied the markets for over 10 years and have been a Retail Commodity Broker for over five years with Lind-Waldock, where I started my career as an Account Representative. Prior to joining Lind-Waldock I spent several years trading on my own behalf in the equities markets.

Market Focus:

Energies, Metals, Grains, Interest Rates, Stock Indexes, Softs.

"I am very impressed with Adam Klopfenstein. He is always very knowledgeable, and seems like the type to go the extra mile. He is surely an asset." -Art of Manahawkin, NJ

Technical Study Background:

I follow Pivot Points with support and resistance along with Relative Strength Index, Stochastics, Volume, Open Interest, Moving Averages, Candlesticks, and Divergence studies.

Advisory Background:

Vardon Report, Hightower, Fortucast, Larry Williams, Price Perceptions.

Trading Strategies:

I am a big believer in support and resistance levels to gauge appropriate entry or exit points once a fundamental or technical pattern has developed. These same levels also serve as a great way to implement risk management with particular trade ideas.

Analysis Preference:

I was involved in the stock market prior to futures trading and as such I tend to have a fundamental bias when evaluating market opportunities. I do believe, however, that technical analysis has a major impact on price movement and therefore use both when formulating strategies.
